At NextGen, we manage unique parent-child portfolios and provide one-on-one parental guidance on:• Discovering meaningful outside of school activities.• Exploring community involvement opportunities.• Navigating school curriculums.
Each half-hour consultation will be held on Zoom with the consultant of your choice

Navigating the American school system for your kid, as an international, can be difficult.This is why we make sure our student consultants have a vast network of sports and arts opportunities at hand, as well as years of first hand experience going through the American education system, specifically MCPS.
Our story
Born from our own experiences as children of internationals and immigrants, we created NextGen as a response to the challenges we faced entering high school.Recognizing the often-overlooked importance of community and outside of school activities, our team realized that many within our community lacked the networks or knowledge to access these opportunities. As we entered high school, we felt unequipped compared to our peers when navigating the job and college search.With NextGen, we aim to use our unique firsthand understanding of the system to simplify and improve the journey through the American school system for families, starting with parents.By providing parents with a well rounded range of resources and insights from our consultants' unique experiences, we aim to empower the children of immigrants to thrive in every sphere: academically, socially, and professionally.

Aya Zemrani | Founder, Consultant
Hi! my name is Aya and I'm a rising Senior in High School. I was born and raised in Maryland, and my parents are from Morocco and Kazakhstan. I've loved visual art my entire life, and began selling my work during the pandemic, which sparked my interest in business. Through my experiences as a business owner and artist, I've gained experience in entrepreneurship, visual arts, and volunteer work.

Interested in pursuing Business-Finance. I'm Taiwanese-American. I enjoy reading, running, Model United Nations, Model Congress, going out, and self care!
Ryan Rosenfeld | Consultant
Hi! my name is Ryan. I'm a high school Senior Interested in pursuing business, finance, or economics. I'm Iranian-American, and am fluent in spanish. I hold extensive experience in working with kids, neurodivergent students, community building, and teaching.
Sarah Galbraith | Consultant
Hello! My name is Sarah Galbraith and I am a rising Senior. I was born in Baltimore and moved to Montgomery County when I was 6 years old. Currently, I want to study biology in college on the pre-med track, but I am also interested in mathematics. I am involved in various volunteer activities such as tutoring girls in STEM or helping teach my peers about mental health, and I also have many hobbies such as soccer and crocheting!
